Everyday Choices, Lasting Impact
Every day, we make choices — from the coffee cup we use to the materials that surround us at home and at work. A conscious approach to these everyday decisions is at the heart of modern sustainability: meaningful global change begins with practical local action.
But how can environmental responsibility become more than a symbolic gesture and form a natural part of the spaces we create?
At PHONITURA, we have made a deliberate choice to work with more sustainable materials. Our acoustic solutions incorporate the principles of responsible consumption from the very beginning.
Our ceiling systems, panels, luminaires and other acoustic products offer more than design and comfort. They represent a new lifecycle for existing materials and a practical contribution to reducing plastic waste.
Sustainability You Can Hear
Acoustic comfort brings genuine value to a space. When it is created with consideration for the environment, that value becomes even greater.
Our products are made from ARCHIPHONIC, an innovative PET felt manufactured using recycled plastic bottles.
This is not an abstract claim about recycling, but a clear production process:
1. Collection and preparation
Used PET bottles are collected and sorted according to colour, condition and material quality. Labels, adhesives and contaminants are removed before the plastic is washed, dried and shredded into small flakes.
2. Transformation
The processed PET is converted into fine, durable polyester fibres. These fibres are thermally bonded, arranged into a three-dimensional structure and pressed under controlled heat and pressure.
3. A new purpose
The result is ARCHIPHONIC acoustic sheet material, which PHONITURA uses to manufacture acoustic panels, ceiling elements, luminaires, partitions and bespoke interior products.
A Measurable Contribution
Our environmental approach is supported by clear figures.
Approximately five recycled plastic bottles are used to produce one square metre of ARCHIPHONIC acoustic material.
Across the scale of an office, hotel, restaurant or educational building, this can represent thousands of bottles given a new and long-lasting purpose.
By choosing PHONITURA solutions, clients help reduce plastic waste and dependence on newly produced raw materials while improving the acoustic quality of their interiors.
Comfort with a Responsible Purpose
PHONITURA acoustic products bring together environmental responsibility, visual design and practical performance.
For the environment: reduced plastic waste and an extended lifecycle for existing materials.
For people: improved acoustic comfort, better concentration and a calmer atmosphere.
For the interior: contemporary, tactile design that can reflect the identity and values of a brand or organisation.
By creating a quieter and more comfortable environment within your own space, you are also making a considered choice for the wider environment.
This is the practical meaning of “think globally, act locally”: a local design decision becomes part of a broader movement towards a more responsible future.
